Christian Activities

While coming into contact with Christianity, students pursue human richness and dignity.

Discover that you are invaluable.

Aoyama Gakuin Women's Junior College aims to provide a broad education to students based on the Christian faith. Although most of our students will learn about Christianity for the first time, it is our hope that our students will be exposed to the richness of the Christian faith and come to understand love and forgiveness without finding it difficult so that they can appreciate the beliefs and culture as treasures that have been cherished by Christian churches for thousands of years.
Besides studying in classrooms, students are invited to freely take part in worship services offered during lunch breaks three times a week. We offer worship services to provide students with opportunities to hear valuable talks given by teachers from both inside and outside Aoyama Gakuin and pastors from other churches. Also, student volunteers go to the areas affected by the Great East Japan Earthquake in the summer. In the fall, a camp is held to facilitate communication between faculty members and students. In addition, through wide ranging activities and events such as chapel concerts and Christmas worship services, students come in contact with Christianity to pursue human richness and dignity.
Self-affirmation is achieved through such activities. Loving yourself leads to discovery of invaluable friends and the realization that each and every person is loved by God.

Christian Activities

We at Aoyama Gakuin Women's Junior College are pledged to pursue broad education for students based on the Christian faith and to provide many opportunities for everyone learning and leading lives at the college to come in contact with the Christian faith. The worship services held during lunch breaks three times a week form the center of this education. In these services, students enjoy the pleasure of hearing talks given by teachers from both inside and outside of Aoyama Gakuin and by pastors from neighboring churches. In addition, many other events are held to facilitate communication between faculty members and students, such as a camp held in the fall, chapel concerts, and Christmas worship services.
These activities are, of course, optional. By attending the various activities, students can pursue human richness and dignity and develop them further. It is our sincere hope to provide opportunities for students to learn about the common background of humanity and to become a place where students can enjoy their campus life and foster friendships.
