The Art Department was established in 1989.
The aim of the Art Department is to make clear human existence through
art phenomena by theoretical reflection and practice. This approach
to thinking and making works of art is necessary for university students
in technological circumstances.
As modern technology like the internet advances, human beings live
more conveniently and happily. At the same time the need to reflect
on human activity through works of art assumes greater importance.
The department's goal is to cultivate the students' artistic sensitivity
and intellectual abilities by providing them with opportunities to
gain insights into the importance of human qualities revealed not
only in individual works of art but also in the wider perspectives
of art,as exemplified in systematic and integrated art phenomena.
